چکیده

An unprecedented one-pot procedure employing a cyclopentadienyl functionalized RAFT agent allowed the grafting of poly(carboxybetaine acrylamide) - a highly functional and biocompatible polymer - from the surface of pristine SWCNTs. The pendant carboxylic acid groups of the surface grafted polymer were further conjugated with single-stranded (ss)-DNA, which was successfully hybridized with a Cy5 labelled complementary DNA strand.

Omnidispersible poly(ionic liquid)-functionalized cellulose nanofibrils: surface grafting and polymer membrane reinforcement.

We report a facile one-step route to graft poly(ionic liquid)s (PILs) onto cellulose nanofibrils (CNFs). The dispersibility of the PIL-functionalized CNFs in water and various organic solvents could be tuned by the choice of the PIL-binding anion. We demonstrate that such omnidispersible PIL@CNF hybrids can be used to reinforce porous poly(ionic liquid) membranes.

Clickable biocompatible nanoparticles were prepared in a one-pot process by microemulsion polymerization using acrylamide, N,N'-methylene bisacrylamide and either N-(11-azido-3,6,9-trioxaundecanyl)acrylamide or N-propargylacrylamide, which were then readily modified by CuAAC reaction to afford sensing nanomaterials.
